Utahs Kirilenko leaves with back spasms
Utah Jazz forward Andrei Kirilenko suffered back spams in the first half against Portland and has left the game.
The Jazz said Kirilenko would not return to the game Sunday. Utah plays the second of a back-to-back on Monday night at home against Atlanta.
Kirilenko had little impact, scoring just two points and grabbing two rebounds against the Blazers. But he has been the catalyst for Utahs surge in the Western Conference.
The Jazz are 15-2 entering Sunday since Kirilenko was reinserted into the starting lineup and is averaging 15.3 points, 4.4 rebounds and shooting 60 percent in those 17 games.
