Uncle T Seven wins at Saratoga
Uncle T Seven made a decisive last-to-first run to win the $150,000 New York Stallion Stakes Cab Calloway Division for 3-year-old colts and geldings by 2 1/4 lengths Wednesday at Saratoga Race Course.
The race, with a field of eight, was restricted to horses sired by New York stallions.
Julien Leparoux rode the John Morrison-trained horse, which ran 1 1/16 miles over a fast track in 1:42.51, to his second win in five starts this year. It was his first victory in stakes company.
He earned $90,000 for owners Thomas, Suzanne Bobley and MFRG Racing.
Uncle T Seven paid $6.80, $4.10 and $2.70. Runner-up Livin Large paid $10.40 and $5.90, and Scientist returned $3.10 to show.
