Cowboy Cal wins at Santa Anita
Cowboy Cal beat Informed by a nose in the $150,000 San Pasqual Handicap Saturday at Santa Anita.
Under John Velasquez, Cowboy Cal covered 1 1-16 miles in 1:41.26.
Cowboy Cal paid $7.60, $5 and $3.60. The prices on Informed, ridden by Michael Baze, were $22.80 and $12.20. Magnum, with Martin Pedroza aboard, returned $12.
Cowboy Cal earned $90,000 to bring his career total to $597,708.

Kiss the Kid wins Fort Lauderdale Stakes
Kiss the Kid edged Societys Chairman by a neck to win the $100,000 Fort Lauderdale Stakes for older horses at Gulfstream Park on Saturday.
Kiss the Kid, ridden by Elvis Trujillo, ran the 1 1-16th miles on grass in 1:40.59 and paid 24.60, 10.20 and 6.80. Societys Chairman returned 8.80 and 5.80, and A.P. Magic finished third and paid 16.00.
The first six finishers in the field of 11 finished within one length of each other. Museeb and Wesley finished in a dead heat for fourth, a nose behind A.P. Magic and a head in front of Mambo Meister. Prerace favorite Buffalo Man finished eighth.
Kiss the Kid, a 6-year-old son of Lemon Drop Kid, is owned and trained by Amy Tarrant. The seventh win in his 25 starts raised his earnings to $534,767. The Fort Lauderdale was his second straight stakes victory, following his win in the Grade 3 Cliff Hanger at the Meadowlands in East Rutherford, N.J., on Oct. 10.
A.P. Magic took the lead at the start, and held a half-length lead over Societys Chairman at the quarter pole. Societys Chairman edged ahead around the eighth pole, with Kiss the Kid closing on the outside.
