Rangers put Loe on waivers. Kameron Loe was put on unconditional release waivers Wednesday by the Texas Rangers, freeing him to sign with the Fukuoka Softbank Hawks of Japan’s Pacific League.

The 27-year-old right-hander was 1-0 with a 3.23 ERA in 14 relief appearances over five stints with the Rangers this year. In his final appearance of the season, he was hit on an elbow by a line drive against the Los Angeles Angels on Sept. 19.

Loe was taken by the Rangers in the 20th round of the 2002 amateur draft.

Orioles add Krivsky to front office.

The Baltimore Orioles on Wednesday named Wayne Krivsky as special assistant to the president of baseball operations.
Krivsky, the former executive vice president and general manager of the Cincinnati Reds, brings over 30 years of experience in baseball operations to the Orioles.

He will be involved in all aspects of the teams major league operations, including scouting, contracts and other baseball administration responsibilities.

Krivskys three decades of experience include nearly 27 seasons as an assistant or special assistant to general managers in the Texas Rangers, Minnesota Twins and New York Mets organizations, with scouting and player evaluation experience at all levels of development.

Krivsky most recently served as special assistant to Mets general manager Omar Minaya during the 2008 season.
